For the safety of the object slide, objective lens and the mechanism, it is recommended that observing from the side, the objective lens should be brought close to the object and then looking down the microscope, focussing should be done by racking the objective away from the object.
Economy model for beginners. Monocular body is inclinable upto 90° for ease of working. Mechanical tube length is standard 160 mm. Focussing is through rack & pinion arrangement. Material handling in any automated production plant is a common site. The materials to be handled may be bottles, packets, metallic pieces, sub-assemblies, etc. In order to provide a similar feature, the material handling experimenter is designed. This demonstration unit consists of a) a stepper motor, with an unending continuous conveyor belt rotating over a free wheel. The shaft of the motor drives the belt. b) A proximity switch is placed looking over this moving belt, to detect any moving object. The output of this transducer is the feedback to the trainer. c) A programmable relay operating a motor is available as a controller for controlling an external 230V AC motor. The above setup is connected to the Microprocessor trainer, Model MPT-85. By programming the trainer, various schemes can be simulated. For example; a) counting of parts moving on the belt, b) switch OFF external motor, on detecting a part moving on the conveyor, c) make the conveyor move until the next part arrives near the proximity sensor and so on. This is a practical application simulator.

8031 / 8051 is a versatile micro-controller. This controller finds extensive applications in automation. This is because of its architecture and built-in I/O capabilities. The use of this controller considerably reduces the chip count in the final product design. Hence this finds extensive applications in automatic vending machines,

weighing machines, welding machines, microwave ovens etc. Therefore it becomes necessary to study the function and its capabilities, by experimentation.
The Micro-controller trainer is an IBM PC/XT/AT/ & Pentium compatible instrument. This has 32KB RAM, 8KB EPROM. The instrument is connected to serial port of IBM computer at RS232C port. A 50 pin FRC connector provides un-buffered Address, Data, and control lines. This may be used for system expansion at a later date. The trainer has built-in power supply. This is housed in an ergonomically designed cabinet.

Material handling in any automated production plant is a common site. The materials to be handled may be bottles, packets, metallic pieces, sub-assemblies, etc. In order to provide a similar feature, the material handling experimenter is designed. This demonstration unit consists of a) a stepper motor, with an unending continuous conveyor belt rotating over a free wheel. The shaft of the motor drives the belt. b) A proximity switch is placed looking over this moving belt, to detect any moving object. The output of this transducer is the feedback to the trainer. c) A programmable relay operating a motor is available as a controller for controlling an external 230V AC motor. The above setup is connected to the Microprocessor trainer, Model MPT-85. By programming the trainer, various schemes can be simulated. For example; a) counting of parts moving on the belt, b) switch OFF external motor, on detecting a part moving on the conveyor, c) make the conveyor move until the next part arrives near the proximity sensor and so on. Light weight with ceramic fibre wooled insulation (instead of brick insulation). The outer casing is made of double walled thick P.C.R.C. sheet, reattached with thick perforated sheet on the bottom portion, painted wit attractive stove enamel. Heating elements are made of KANTHAL "A-1" wire and backed by high temperature cerwool insulation, which avoids loss of energy. Temperature control unit consists of Energy Regulator, fitted in front of furnace with two pilot lamps. The apparatus is complete with one pyrometer, thermocouple, silver thermal fuse, main lead with power plug. To work on 220/230 volts or 400/440 volts A.C.. The energy regulator dial is arbitrarily marked 0-100 position. This marking does not indicate temperature. It indicates control level i.e. at Position "100" maximum electricity is allowed to flow to the furnace. At position "0" minimum electricity is flow to furnace. Maximum Temp. is 950ºC and working Temp. 900ºC. For model of higher temperature the maximum Temp. is 1200ºC and working temp. 1100ºC.
